Welcome!

Hi All and welcome to my blog! The first thing I should tell you is that I'm pretty much brand new to both of these crafts. I have done a fair amount of baking and I enjoy cooking, but cake decorating is new to me. I took a class with my local adult education centre back in November and since then, I've taken the opportunity to make cakes for family birthdays.

I had never picked up a crocket hook before August. While visiting my sister in Florida, my mum taught me the basics of a starting chain and how to single crochet, when I returned my cousin showed me how to crochet a basic granny square and from there, I'm working the rest out by watching tutorials on YouTube. I've been scouring the internet and I've come across loads of patterns I'd like to try a spent way too much money on building up my yarn collection in preparation for trying said patterns. We shall see how it goes!
